Our Client Tim W.
They were booked with us on April 10, 2014 via email booking request through one of our Travel Agents in the US which is specialized on Wheelchair Accessible Shore Excursions in the Mediterranean. The tour date for Tim W. was June 17, 2014 from Kusadasi Cruise Port and him and his wife were arriving with the Cruise Ship Celebrity Silhouette. Tim was confined on a wheelchair so they required a Private Tour of Ephesus with a Wheelchair Accessible vehicle, so that's what we provided them along with a Professional Guiding Service for Ephesus Ancient City. Here below you can see the Review that Tim posted on our Tripadvisor page with the Title: "Yes, You can visit Ephesus with your wheelchair." "The ruins at Ephesus are fantastic and well worth a visit, our guide turo took us in a wheelchair accessible vehicle from the port to Ephesus (less than 30 min drive), Our guide was helpful, friendly, interesting, intelligent and well informed. He helped push my wheelchair over any tricky terrain. We were able to see a very good amount of the ruins from the wheelchair including the most important and impressive of the sights. I recommend taking the tour early so you arrive as it opens as it can get very hot in the midday turkish sun. Wheelchairs are allowed to enter in the exit, so by arriving first thing you get about an hour alone to enjoy the ruins before you meet the crowds in the middle." We provided a Private tour of Ephesus from Kusadasi Cruise Terminal to Wilson family in July, 2016. We received the booking request from one of the Accessible Shore Excursions experts who are mostly specialized in providing information on Handicapped Tours in the Mediterranean and the Caribbeans. Our guide and our wheelchair accessible van in Kusadasi was scheduled for the Shore Excursion and meet the Wilson family at Kusadasi Cruise terminal. One can understand and learn his/her lessons about the wonderful experience that the client share on Tripadvisor about this particular tour. The client especially puts an emphasis on the guide sitting with them in the back part of the accessible van made a great difference, because it might be difficult for handicapped people to hear what the guide is saying as the wheelchair is fixed at the rear end of the vehicle. She shared their Disabled Ephesus Tours experience with the Title of "Wonderful experience for Abled and Disabled" "Tugrul did a terrific job of navigating the area and knew exactly where my husband's wheelchair could go with the least amount of challenges. It was amazing that my husband could see what he saw. Tugrul was hands-on the whole time helping my husband navigate through the cobblestones and ruins. (and by helping I mean pushed him the whole time! ) Always a smile on his face and a willingness to help! Tugrul is very very knowledgeable and presents himself well. He's got the kind of personality where you feel like you are on vacation with an old friend. The icing on the cake was that on the ride up and back he not only told us about the areas we were driving through but also came and sat with us in the back so that we could hear every word. Every other tour guide that we had on our vacation sat in the front with the driver. It was hard for a disabled person sitting in the back to hear. There is no problem hearing Tugrul. I did a lot of research for accessible tours and I have to say this is stellar and you would not go wrong by hiring him." We had received an inquiry email from Tom H. inquiring about a availability, cost, etc. of private tour with wheelchair needed for distances and very limited steps in Ephesus Ancient City on August 31st, 2015.
The request was for October 15, 2015 and the wheelchair user person and Tom H. were arriving in Kusadasi with Holland America's Zuiderdam Cruise Ship. Our operators replied to Client's inquiry of wheelchair accessible tour in Ephesus with all the details including Wheelchair Accessible Attractions in Ephesus. Suitable Durations of visit for each Attraction at Ephesus for wheelchair users. The cost for Admissions of Each Attraction and the discounts for wheelchair users. The Location for Meeting at the Kusadasi Cruise Terminal and Other Frequently Asked Questions about the Money, Shopping and Food Options were included in this very detailed email. The client noted that they were favorably impressed with the detailed information provided and wanted to reserve our services for October 15th! They wanted us to include in their day's activity all of the places listed in our e-mail and anything else that will make it a memorable day for them as first-time visitors. They were especially interested in learning the Christian perspective on the things they will be seeing! They mentioned that they would bring a wheelchair for the disabled person to use as needed throughout the day. The client asked one more time to make sure about What type of ID must we have to gain the free admissions for handicapped as noted in our e-mail. After re-confirming the price and the payment conditions. The client was booked successfully for a Private Tour for Handicapped in Ephesus. As the day arrived, we finally met them at Kusadasi Cruise Port and provided a stunning tour of the sites around Ephesus. And thankfully the client Tom H. provided a glowing review for us on Tripadvisor with the Title of "Touring Ephesus in a wheelchair" "We toured Ephesus with Turgul Sokmen on October 15, 2015 and highly recommend you do the same! The van used for the two of us was modern, clean and equipped with a power lift that enabled Juanita to remain in her wheelchair while we toured. The driver provided fast and courteous service in assisting with the wheelchair at each of our several stops. Turgul is very knowledgeable, well spoken and used impeccable English throughout the day. There was a large map posted in the front of the van which he used to great advantage in explaining where we were and the history of the area. Finally, he provided information before we contracted to take the tour that made it clear what portion of the buildings and grounds would be viewable from a wheelchair and his honesty was appreciated. Turgul also informed us that entrance fees would be waived if we brought the proper documentation regarding the medical need for using a wheelchair. Again, this useful information was appreciated. His personality made us feel like we were old friends! The best tour on any we've ever taken!!" Making your wheelchair user passengers feel safe is one of the most important things about providing Wheelchair Accessible Tours in Ephesus. The Accessible vehicle should be properly equipped with safe tie-downs that locks the wheelchair to the floor of the van.
Another very important thing is your tour guides should know the touring routes which are suitable for wheelchair users, because in Ancient Cities like Ephesus, it is sometimes even very hard for regular visitors to stay safe walking on those uneven grounds. Here below is a guest review who toured with us in 2015 and she shares her experience of Wheelchair Accessible Tour of Ephesus from Kusadasi Cruise Terminal. "Amazing experience and service. Our guide and driver met us outside the cruise ship terminal in a comfortable mini-bus with a wheelchair lift in the back. The driver was very careful in securing my wheelchair, and I felt safe the entire trip. Our guide was very knowledgeable. We had an amazing tour of the Virgin Mary's house and Ephesus. Our wonderful guide knew exactly where to take us for the most accessible route. We chose the "foodies" lunch option, and it was fantastic! Definitely a highlight of our three-week trip in the Mediterranean. I wholeheartedly recommend Ephesus Accessible Tours. Two thumbs up!" |
